Are you an experienced project director that knows how to build customer-first solutions? Do you have strong communication, analytical, systems-building, and problem-solving skills? Do you want to work with a company where everyone comes from a place of intelligence and empathy, solving challenges that impact the heart of the global food supply chain? If so, you could be the right person for this role.

We’re looking for a team mate located in Australia or New Zealand to help us create the systems that support our products, our sales teams, and our customers. You’ll be the liaison between the customer and our team, so strong and consistent communication is essential. You’ll collect and analyze customer data, support the sales team during the sales cycle, provide project management, design implementation solutions, and conduct root cause analysis and issue resolution.

YOU’LL BE SOLVING:

  • Act as communication hub between customer and team
  • Work with customers to gather system requirements
  • Work with customer to manage and plan implementations
  • Support internal Austin Data Labs teams with technical solution design
  • Support Austin Data Labs sales team during customer sales cycles, including providing technical solutions, building demos and prototypes, and responding to customer RFPs
  • Provide project management support for Austin Data Labs internal and customer implementation teams
  • Design and implement integration solutions between ERP and Non-ERP applications from customer data stores into the Austin Labs proprietary platform
  • Provide end to end support for new and existing customer implementations
  • Use Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies for end-to-end management of product releases and solution implementations
  • Analyze customer data with the goal of designing and deploying Austin Labs data models

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience running supply chain optimization systems or managing supply chains
  • Knowledge of data science concepts including forecasting, optimization, artificial intelligence, and machine learning
  • 2 or more years of experience in consulting either internal or external
  • 5 or more years of experience: working on software implementations
  • 5 or more years in either the meat or dairy industry
  • 2 or more years of experience performing business requirements analysis, preparation of specifications as per requirements, development and enhancements, unit testing, integration testing, implementation, and post-production support; producing realistic software schedules; analyzing and solving problem tickets
  • Travel 15% to 25% to customer sites (as COVID health restrictions allow)

We are looking for a Data Scientist with solid optimization experience who will support their fellow team-mates and our customers with the kind of deep, meaningful insights that keep the global food supply chain optimized, worry-free, and running smoothly. Do you have an understanding of how to build constraints and objective functions that describe how a company functions? Are you adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action? Do you have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations? If you are all that with a proven ability to drive business results with data-based insights, as well as comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functions, we want to meet you. QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Master’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience. A PhD is nice to have, but not required.

  • Experience working with and creating data architectures.

  • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL. etc).

  • Experience using mathematical programming languages (GAMS, OPL, AMPL) is a plus

  • Knowledge of mathematical programming (linear programming, quadratic programming, mixed integer programming, etc.) and the complexities of using these techniques.

  • Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.

  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.

  • Experience working within the industries that serve and supply the global food supply chain a plus.

  • Experience using web services like AWS and ERP systems like SAP a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.

  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer who will support our fantastic Engineering team–a hands-on platform builder with experience in developing scalable, repeatable B2B SaaS data science and AI platforms. If you’ve got experience in business analytics, data science, and data products, plus strong firsthand technical expertise in a variety of configuration management, ERP, and big data technologies, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll be solving:

  • Analyze, design, and develop tests and test-automation suites.
  • Design and develop a processing platform using various configuration management technologies.
  • Test software development methodology in an agile environment.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, business users, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.

  • Experience working within the industries that serve and supply the global food supply chain
  • Hands-on experience working with technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Oozie, Map Reduce, Spark, Sqoop, Click View, Bootstrap, Kafka, Flume, etc.
  • Strong DevOps focus and experience building and deploying infrastructure with cloud deployment technologies like ansible, chef, puppet, etc.
  • Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
  • Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities and working with a distributed team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • We’re looking for someone with experience in B2B who is familiar with the following software/tools:
    • Experience with infrastructure automation technologies like Docker, Vagrant, etc.
    • Experience with build automation technologies like Maven, Jenkins, etc.
    • Experience with monitoring technologies like Nagios, Ganglia, etc.
    • Experience with modern programming languages like Java, Python, etc.
    • Experience with building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, etc.

Are you an analytical operations research analyst that knows how to put customer happiness first?

Do you have strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with a strong understanding of mathematics and data analysis?

We’re looking for a team mate to be responsible for the formulation and application of mathematical and optimization modeling to decision making, policy formulations, and other related business operations for our customers. You’ll collect and analyze customer data on business operations, identify and understand potential or existing challenges within the customer systems, understand the implications of different actions we can take to solve customer problems, and assist in the project decision-making process. Ultimately, the operations research analyst will assist us in the allocation of resources, production schedule development, supply chain management, and pricing procedures for customer implementations of our B2B SaaS.

You’ll be solving:

  • Collecting and analyzing data from current customer operation systems to develop decision support software.
  • Gathering input from workers or people with specialized knowledge within each customer team who can assist in solving
    operational problems.
  • Using statistical analysis or simulations to analyze the customer’s information to define operational problems, develop
    methods to analyze the problem, and develop practical solutions.
  • Defining project data requirements, gathering and validating information, and applying judgment and statistical tests to
    devise problem-solving actions.
  • Developing mathematical models of potential and existing operational problems.
  • Performing tests to ensure the accuracy of the models.
  • Advising customer leadership teams on solutions and assisting with decision making.
 

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in operations research, engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related field or equivalent
    experience. A Master’s is a nice to have but not required.
